Guest speaker, Kristina Gruden, presented use cases for bisociative discovery in plant biology and cancer research. Bojan Cestnik presented his work on literature mining to identify relations between biomedical concepts in disconnected sets of articles.
Ideas for theoretical foundations, activity spreading and an interchange format for bisociation networks were presented and discussed in the first three days.
The group enjoyed a trip to the Giant's Causeway on Wednesday afternoon followed by a visit to the Bushmill's Distillery, two of the highlights of the local area.
